Tips and Tricks for Studying:
1. Get organized:
-Write in your planner and check it at the beginning and end of each school day. Use your planner as an aid when you are packing up materials to bring home.
-Have all of your supplies ready each day when you arrive at school.
2. Know the expectations. Each teacher has their own set of expectations and rules- know them and follow them!
3. Have a quiet study area at home where you can complete school work and prepare for tests, quizzes, and projects.
4. THINK POSITIVELY! You can succeed no matter what you do. Always remember, you have teachers and parents who are willing to help.
5. Pay attention throughout the school day; take notes and ask questions if you do not understand something.
6. Always read the directions before completing an assignment, project, test/quiz, etc.
7. READ! It is recommended that students read at least 15 minutes daily. It also has been said that reading before bed (and avoiding screentime) can lead to better sleep. According to Dr. Seuss, "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go!"
