Mike is a life-long resident of the Delaware Valley growing up in Southwest Philadelphia and Delaware County. Following his graduation from Cardinal O’Hara High School, Mike attended Villanova University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Mike also holds a Master Degree in Education from West Chester State University.
Mike has spent 37 years working in the secondary schools of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. During his career in secondary education, Mike has held positions as teacher, department chairperson, assistant principal and president in five of the diocesan high schools both in the city and suburbs. Most recently Mike has served as Director of Financial Aid and Scholarship Programs (K-12) for the Office of Catholic Education. On September 22, Mike was appointed the new principal of Bishop Shanahan High School in Downingtown, PA, a school he previously served at as assistant principal for academic affairs.
Mike resides in Wallingford, PA and is a member of St. John Chrysostom Parish. Mike is happy to have the opportunity to serve on the board of limited jurisdiction of Mother of Providence Regional Catholic School. He has a strong belief in the value of Catholic education and its importance to our local community and region.
