In Preparation for High School, college and career, middle school students continue to pursue a structured academic program with special emphasis on reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar. Classes are departmental; students move throughout the building to meet with teachers with expertise in different subject areas, including Learning Support and Honors Math. Middle school faculty members support students in developing effective time management and organizational skills critical for success in high school and beyond. An academic highlight for eighth grade students is the production of a weekly news broadcast, where they are involved in all aspects of news gathering, writing, editing and recording.
Mot importantly, middle school is where students develop into leaders with a sound academic and moral foundation. Opportunities for Leadership include serving in elected positions on Student Council, participating in the Prayer Partner program with our younger students, and taking lead roles in religious celebrations. Middle school students live the Gospel message of service by organizing local and international charitable service projects throughout the year.
Graduates of MPRCS are confident, well-educated young men and women, proud of their Catholic values and prepared for success in the future.
