"Infuse your life with action. Don't wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love...honor your Creator, not by passively waiiting for grace to come down from up on high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen...right down here on Earth."
Dear Eighth Graders,
Keep in mind that openness toward and acceptance of one another is the key to a successful eighth grade experience. The blending of your diverse personalities and creative spirits has the ability to make great things happen. All sincere suggestions hold equal value; therefore, every voice will be heard.
So, Class of 2017, it is on you. Only you can continue to make this year meaningful and memorable. Humility coupled with reasonable confidence will contribute to our Christian unity in service to others and one another. This is your moment to shine. Own it!
Peace and God Bless,
"The times we live in do not call for young couch potatoes...we didn't come into this world to vegetate, to take it easy...No, we came for another reason: To leave a mark and create a more just world. Following Jesus demands a good dose of courage, a readiness to trade in the sofa for a pair of walking shoes, and to set out on new and uncharted paths...Jesus is the Lord of risk, not the Lord of comfort, security, and ease."
